Giza as the Heart of the Earth: Lisa Renee’s Stargate Teaching Explained

· kristina · 5 min read

Some places are destinations. Others feel like a heartbeat you had forgotten was yours.

For many seekers, Giza is the second kind. You see the pyramids rising out of the desert and something in your chest answers. Not wonder exactly. Recognition.

In this article we’ll explore the esoteric teaching that describes Giza as a stargate and as the heart of the Earth, particularly as presented in Lisa Renee’s Ascension Glossary. I’ll set it beside what history tells us, share what I lived at Giza, and offer ways to hold that heart in your own body.

Giza: The History

The Giza plateau, on the edge of modern Cairo, holds three great pyramids built for the Fourth Dynasty kings Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure around 2600 to 2500 BCE, together with the Great Sphinx, smaller queens’ pyramids, temples and cemeteries of officials. The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the largest and oldest, the last surviving wonder of the ancient world.

Its precision still astonishes engineers. Its sides are aligned almost exactly to the cardinal directions. Its interior holds the Grand Gallery, the King’s Chamber and the Queen’s Chamber, which I explore in Rubedo in the King’s Chamber and The Queen’s Chamber.

What Is a Stargate in Esoteric Teaching?

In esoteric cosmologies, a stargate is not a science-fiction machine but a multidimensional doorway: a point on the planet where energy and consciousness are said to move between dimensions. Different teachers use the term differently.

Lisa Renee’s Ascension Glossary describes a planetary grid of twelve stargates, each with a role in the energetic body of the Earth. This is her cosmology, shared here as such, not as established science or history.

Lisa Renee on Giza

In her Ascension Glossary entry on Giza, Lisa Renee describes Giza as the location of the fourth-dimensional planetary stargate and as the heart chakra of the Earth. Her teaching connects the Sphinx, the Great Pyramid and the Hall of Records to this role, and frames Giza as a site of great significance in humanity’s spiritual history.

She also teaches that the planetary heart is no longer held in one place alone, but is spreading into many hubs around the world. I find that beautiful: the heart of the Earth is not locked in a single location, but awakening wherever hearts open.

Again, this is her teaching, not a historical claim. You may hold it literally, symbolically, or simply as a meditation. Each way can be meaningful.

Why the Heart?

If Giza is the heart, what does that ask of us? The heart is where opposites meet. In many traditions, it’s where the masculine and feminine unite, where the human and divine touch, where the higher and lower centres of the body come into balance.

This is why I connect Giza so closely with Hieros Gamos, the sacred marriage. The heart is the marriage chamber.

What I Lived at Giza

I can’t tell you I saw a stargate. I can tell you what I felt.

Experiencing the majesty of the sphinx and the incredible energy.

Private access to the pyramid and sphinx done. That means only my group has access, no one else. No words can explain this sacred process.

And I can tell you about the joy:

What a day! … OPA HABIBI!!

Majesty. Energy. No words. And then pure, exuberant joy. If that’s what the heart of the Earth feels like, I understand why people cross the world to stand in it. Read more in Before the Sphinx.

History and Mystery Side by Side

Egyptologists see Giza as the royal necropolis of the Fourth Dynasty: a masterpiece of engineering, organisation and faith in the afterlife. Esoteric teachers see it as a planetary centre of consciousness. You don’t have to choose. History tells you what was built. Mystery asks what it might awaken in you.

How to Hold the Heart of the Earth Within

  1. Breathe into your heart. Place your hands on your chest. Breathe slowly for two minutes.
  2. Imagine the plateau. See the pyramids at dawn. Feel the stillness of the desert.
  3. Connect heart to heart. Imagine a thread of light from your heart to the heart of the Earth.
  4. Send it outward. Let that light spread to every hub, every heart, every place awakening now.
  5. Return. Notice how you feel. Carry it into your day.

Giza is a part of both The Great Work Pilgrimage and the Hieros Gamos retreat.

Visiting Giza With an Open Heart

Giza can be overwhelming: crowds, heat, vendors, noise. To experience it as a sacred site, it helps to arrive early, move slowly and give yourself moments of stillness. Find a quiet place on the plateau and simply sit, facing the pyramids. Place your hand on your heart. Notice your breath.

If you have the opportunity for special access, treat it as the rare gift it is. Enter in silence. Leave space for whatever wants to arise. And if nothing dramatic happens, that’s fine too. Sometimes the heart opens quietly, and you only notice weeks later that something has changed.

Signs Giza Is Calling You

  • You’ve felt drawn to the pyramids since childhood
  • You sense a connection between Egypt and your heart’s longing
  • You feel called to serve something larger than yourself
  • The idea of the Earth having a heart moves you to tears
